It is with great sadness the family of Marie DeGrâçe, wife of the late Léo DeGrâçe of St. Mary’s Ave, Bathurst, announces her passing on which occurred on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 89 after a brief illness of Covid.

Born in Bathurst, she was daughter of the late Celestin and Edith (Boudreau) Doucet.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Jocelyne (Sydney) Miller of Bathurst.

Grandchildren: Stacy Boucher (Neal) of Miramichi, Kelly Miller (Kevin), Timothy DeGrâçe (Stephanie) both of Bathurst and Carole (Toby) Doucette of Big River.

Great-grandchildren: Maddox, Christopher, Hannah, Logan and Harley

Daughter-in-law: Debra DeGrâçe who was like a daughter to her.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Roger and sisters: Adèle (late Gordon), Anita (late Théofred), Estelle (late Viateur) and Léonile (late Clifford).

Marie’s family was everything to her. The past 11 years have been spent in the loving care and home of her daughter. The family would like to thank Florence Boucher for all the love, excellent care and friendship given to her. Also, to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.

Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
