Bathurst - Derek Stephen Sisk, 50, husband of Shirley (Boucher) Sisk, of North Tetagouche, passed away on Thursday July 9, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Derek was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother and friend. He loved spending time at the Branch's camp, taking vacations with his family and watching his children play sports. He loved having people around him; his favorite passion was to gather family and friends where he would be the ultimate chef. Derek was employed at Auto Concepts in Bathurst.
Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Odette (Landry) and the late Leo Sisk.
Besides his wife and mother of Bathurst, he is survived by his son Tyler and daughter Lea both at home.
His brothers and sisters; Kurtis (Kellie) of Quispamsis, NB, Calvin (Julie), Dale (Wally) Knowles and Karen (Lévis) Boudreau, all of Bathurst and Connie Melone of Ottawa. Derek is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Derek may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
