1952 - 2015
Surrounded by his loved ones, Calvin peacefully left us on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at the age of 63. Calvin was born in Toronto Ontario and moved to Bathurst as a toddler where he resided all his life.
Calvin will be missed by many but especially his long time partner Bonnie Lebans and his beloved fur baby Mitzi.
The oldest of the Doucet clan, Calvin is survived by three brothers and three sisters: John of Fredericton, Bev (Dan Palmer) of Stitsville Ont., Karen (Sheldon Stubbert) of Grande Digue N.B., Paula (Richard Wilson) of Janeville, Bernie of Whitehorse and Alan (Cindy) of Bathurst.
Calvin was a very special uncle and loved by all his nieces and nephews and was a member of the unique cousins group.
He was predeceased by his father, Lionel Doucet; his mother, Patricia (Brennan) Doucet, and an infant brother, Patrick.
Calvin worked for several years for Gilles Basque Sales and was well known in the automotive business. He was an Associate Member at the Royal Canadian Legion for many years.
Over the years Calvin made many friends and acquaintances. It was a running joke in the family that if you were wondering who a person was you should ask Calvin, as he was sure to know. Even while travelling far and near, Calvin never failed to run into a familiar face.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), St. George St., Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, August 28, 2015 at 10 am from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
In memory of Calvin the family would appreciate donations to the local SPCA, the Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
