1949 - 2015

Bathurst - Peacefully at home on Friday September 4, 2015 at the age of 66 years with his Partner Joyce Carruthers in Bathurst NB, David Leonard "Lennie" Burke, beloved father of Gerry Burke of Moncton NB.

Born in Cape Breton, NS, he was the son of the late Stanley Burke and Lillian Kathleen (Jackson) Burke.

Lennie was the owner and operated Wine Kitz in Bathurst.

Dear Brother to Albert Burke (Eileen) of Marystown NFLD, Leslie Burke (Demona) of Georgetown ON, Wilma (Burke) Backle of Hamilton ON, Linda (Burke) Steele & Scott of Pefferlaw ON. 

Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother Terry Lawrence Burke.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 11, 2015, at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Lennie may be made to a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
