Bathurst - Mrs. Marguerite Christie, 83, wife of the late Henry Christie, of Dumeresq St., Bathurst, died Monday (December 27, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Francois (Chiasson) Guignard. She was a life member of the Little Flower Council of the Catholic Women's League, South Bathurst. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Henry, in 1968. She is survived by: One son: Ronald Christie (Annette Plourde) of Lac St.Jean, Que. Two daughters: Raymonde Morais (Pierre) of Beresford Marguerite-May Noel (Timothy) of Fredericton Six grandchildren, Rocco, Ronnica, Tanya Rae, Duane, Sonia, Colin and one great-granddaughter, Corrine. Several nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (December 29, 2004) at 4:00 p.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
