1919 - 2015

Bathurst - Mrs. Irene Young, wife of the late Thomas Young, formerly of Rough Waters Dr. passed away on Thursday October 1, 2015, at the Dalhousie Nursing Home in Dalhousie at the age of 96. Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Frances (Doucet) Landry.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by one son, Melvin (Lorenza) of Laplante.

Two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Maurita Vienneau; four brothers: George, Emmanuel, Harry, James and a sister, Georgina Roy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 2 p.m. until time of funeral at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday October 6, 2015 at 4 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
