1927 - 2015

Bathurst – Mrs. Evangeline Roy, wife of the late Herman Roy (1993) of Oasis de la Baie, Bathurst, passed away on Friday October 30, 2015, at the age of 88, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Josephine (Bertin) Legacy.

She is survived by three sons: Gordon (Sinead) of Pierrefonds, Que., Germain (Arthemise) of Sudbury, Ont. and Richard (Linda) of Hamner, Ont.  

Three daughters:  Jeanne Lagacé (Bob McGregor) of Bathurst, Jeannette Plourde (Alyre) and Linda Lanteigne (Augustin) both of Allardville.  16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Four sisters:  Edna Legacy of Fredericton, Isabel Ariss (Norm) and Bernice Hachey both of Ontario and Diane (Claude) of Bathurst.  

Five brothers:  Lionel Legacy, Edgar Legacy (Elizabeth) and Douglas Legacy all of Bathurst, Raymond Legacy of Campbellton and Gérard Legacy (Norine) of Ontario.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Jeannette; one son, Johnny and a brother, Johnny.

Visiting hours will be from Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst,  Monday, November 1st, 2015 from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 2, 2015, at 4 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst.
