1941 - 2015

Bathurst - Mrs. Sarah Landry, 74, wife of Mike Landry, of Hennessy St., Bathurst, passed away on Monday November 9, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Edith (Spellar-O'Brien) Rooney.

Sarah was a member of the Holy Family C.W.L. and life member of the Canadian Kinette's Club.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Ellen Landry (Gerry Shand) of Bathurst, Cheryl Scholten (Willy) of Fredericton and Michelle Smith (Marc) of Whitecroft, B.C.

Three grandchildren: Emily, Charlie and Alex.

One sister:  Ernestine Rooney of Saint John.

Several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Brian.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.  

Donations in memory of Sarah may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donors choice. 

The family would like to thanks the staff at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the excellent care give to Sarah during her illness.
