1950 - 2015

Bathurst - Janice Slaney, wife of Guy Slaney, of Sunset Drive, Bathurst passed away on Wednesday November 11, 2015 at the age of 65, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Melvina (Melanson) Doucet.

During her working years she worked as a Regional Home Economist.  Janice was the creator of the "Nobody's Perfect Program" which is still in place today.

She will be missed by her Duchess and her husband GG and her best friends, Jeanne Mance, Delphina, Coo, Carole and Jeannine.

Visitation will be held at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St (www.elhatton.com) on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 9 am until time of funeral. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11 am from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. 

Donations in memory of Janice may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
