1929 – 2015

Bathurst – Mrs. Jean Maher, 86, wife of the late Wesley Maher, passed away on Sunday December 6, 2015 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Minie (Robichaud) Doucet.

She is survived by two sons: Peter Maher (Claudette) and John Maher (Karen), both of Bathurst.

Seven daughters: Carmel Hickey (Fenton) of Bathurst, Mary Jean Noble (Bob) of Toronto, Ont., Marilyn Doucet (Mike) of Beresford, Wendy Maher (Keith Killorn) of Saint John, N.B., Sandra Couture (Jean-Paul) and Barbara Bourque (Eric) both of Bathurst, Linda Norrad of Fredericton.

Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Two sisters: Shirley Thibodeau (Lloyd) and Bertha "Poppy" Glazier (Ron) both of Bathurst.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas and a sister, Effie Gould.

A private celebration of Jean’s life will take place at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.

Donation in memory of Jean may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
