1941 - 2016

Gerald Roy of Big River, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016, at the age of 74, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alphée Roy and Thérèse Boudreau.

He worked at Brunswick Mines for over 32 years.  Gerald loved to play golf and curling. He was also a 4th degree member of the Beresford Knights of Columbus Council.  

He is survived by his common law partner, Yvette Duguay.

One daughter, Sonia Roy of Beresford. 

One grandson, Yannick. 

One son, Denis of Edmonton, Alta.

Two brothers: Raymond (Vicky) of Petit Rocher and Roger (Connie) of Dunlop.

One sister, Mary Neeleman (John) of Nigadoo.

The mother of his children, Anna Hebert.

He was predeceased by a sister, Stella Roy.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 7 to 9 pm at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) , St. George St., Bathurst.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11 am from Elhatton Funeral Chapel.
