Bathurst - Mrs. Alma ''Nan'' Chamberlain, 92, wife of the late Guy Chamberlain, formerly of Murray Ave., passed on Wednesday January 20, 2016, at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst.
Born in Nelson, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Lena (Arseneau) Carrier.
Nan worked for Burchills in Nelson for 14 years. She loved sports, hunting, fishing, spending time with her family and visiting friends on the Miramichi. In later years she enjoyed puzzles, Cryptograph and reading.
Nan was a member of the Chatham Heard Bombers that won the Baseball Provincials in 1956.
Nan is survived by two daughters: Louise Lacasse (Yves Bechard) of Lévis Que. and Karen (Duke) of Bathurst.
Three sons: Gordon of Toronto, Ont., David (Audrey) of North Tetagouche and Neil (Judy) of Bathurst.
Eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
