1947 - 2016

Beresford – Donald "Don" Bertin of Beresford, passed away at the age of 68, on Thursday February 11, 2016 at his residence.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Arthur Daigle and the late Irène Bertin.

Besides his wife, Anna (Pitre) Bertin, he is survived by two children: Pauline Bertin of Toronto, Ont. and Donald Jr. (Nina Schembri) of Toronto, Ont.

Three step-children: Donald Comeau of Bathurst, Robert Comeau (Chantale Bergeron) of Chambly, Que. and Claude Comeau of Bathurst.  Four grandchildren.

Three brothers: Camille Daigle (Sylvia), Rhéal Daigle (Lisa) both of Bathurst and Allain Daigle (Monique) of Robertville.

Two sisters: Claudette Doucet (Jules) of Robertville and Claire Drouin (Rolly) of Toronto, Ont.

Also survived by several members of his extended family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Donald was a Past Faithful Navigator Knights of Columbus Assembly 2203 Père Rodolph Doucet of Beresford.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com) Beresford, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 2 p.m. until time of funeral.  

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday February 17, 2016 at 4 p.m. from Église St-Nom-de-Jesus, Beresford.   

Donation in memory of Donald may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.
