1961 - 2016

It is with profound sadness that we the family announce the death of John Christopher Doucet of Brideau Ave., Bathurst, which occurred  at the age of 54, on Friday February 12, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.

Born in Sept Iles, Qc, he was the son of Regis Doucet and the late Marjorie (Chamberlain) Doucet.

Besides his father of Bathurst, Chris leaves his loving wife, Helen (Boucher) Doucet of 26 years and two sons: Benjamin and Jeremy both of Fredericton. 

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Timothy in 1963.

Chris was a graduate of Bathurst High School in 1979 and the University of New Brunswick in 1987.  At the time of his passing, Chris was a school bus driver with Anglophone North School District and manager of the Irving Bathurst Mainstop.

Chris' greatest joy in life was his family and viewed his sons Benjamin and Jeremy as his greatest accomplishments in life.  A dedicated father, Chris was actively involved in all aspects of their lives as a Scout Leader, volunteer and positive role model.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday February 17, 2016, at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Chris may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
