1967 – 2016

Toronto, Ont. – Hugh Branch of Toronto and formerly of Big River, passed away at the age of 48 on Sunday February 7, 2016 at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Wesley and the late Pearl (Black) Branch.

He worked for over 24 years for the government of Ontario, lastly as a Senior I.T. Planning Advisor for the Ontario Ministry of Government & Consumer Services.

Besides his father of Big River, he is survived by one sister, Cathy (André) Frenette of Big River.  

Two brothers: Kevin (Pat) of Nepisiguit Falls and Jonathan of Oxford, England.

Four nephews and nieces: Jansen, Dane, Aaron and Johna Lee.  Several aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning February 18, 2016 at 10 am from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst, followed by a reception in the church basement.

Donations in memory of Hugh may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
