Bathurst - Mrs. Elizabeth Roy wife of Alfred "Freddy" Roy, formerly of Miramichi Road, passed away at the age of 81,on Saturday April 16, 2016 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Watson) Chamberlain.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters: Lina LeBouthillier (David Couture), Bonnie Frenette (Paul) both of Beresford, Anne Marie Legacy (Bobby) of Pointe-Verte and Shirley Gallant (Jean-Claude) of Bathurst.
Four sons: Michel of Miramichi Road, Edgar (Gail MacKenzie) of Bathurst, Gérald (Gail Boucher) of Beresford and Richard (Doris Doiron) of Miramichi Road. 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
One brother, Tommy Chamberlain of Toronto, ON. Several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a two grandson: Rémi and Kevin; five brothers: Alfred " Buffer", Théophile "Coq", Gérald, David, Alex; one sister, Janet and her twin sister, Yvonne.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the Arthritis Society or a charity of the donors choice.
The family would like to say a ''Special Thank You'' to the Staff of the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes for the excellent care given to Elizabeth.
