Roger Godin passed away at Hawkesbury General Hospital, in Hawkesbury, Ontario, on May 9th, 2016 at the age of 74 after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Bertrand, NB, Roger was the son of the late Emile Godin and the late Josephine Cormier Godin of Bathurst, NB.
He is survived by one sister, Irene Godin Kenny of Bathurst, NB and one brother, Real Godin of Charlevoix, Quebec. Also, he is survived by nephew, Donald Kenny (Anne Gauthier) of Bathurst and niece, Joanne Kenny (Chidiebere Nwabunwanne) of Bathurst; nephew Serge Godin and niece Sonia Godin both of Charlevoix, Quebec.
Roger worked for Via Rail for 35 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed travelling Canada and the United States. When not travelling, he volunteered at different hospitals.
The burial of his ashes will be held on Friday July 8th, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in South Bathurst by Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst.
