Bathurst – It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Mrs. Rita Dubé, wife of Arthur Dubé, of Chaleur St., Bathurst, which occurred Thursday June 30, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 84.
Born in Mountain Brook, NB, she was the daughter of the late Honoré Philomène (Comeau) Landry.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Anne-Louise (Zita Losier) of Bathurst. Two sons: Paul (Christine LeBlanc-Dubé) of Grande-Digue, NB and Roger (Anne Godin) of Ste-Foy, QC.
Seven grandchildren: Félix, Maxime, Cléo, Jonah, Robin, Miguel and Milo.
One sister, Adrienne Frenette (late Roger) of Beresford. Several nieces and nephews.
Sister-in-law, Jeanne of Mountain Brook.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Gérard.
Rita, a nurse by profession, was the first president of Nurses Union of New Brunswick.
Visiting hours are Friday July 8, 2016, at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 8, 2016, at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
