Petit-Rocher, NB – It is with great sadness that we the family announces the death of Robert Mills, of Petit-Rocher and formerly of Notre-Dame, which occurred Tuesday October 4, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, surrounded by his loved ones and after a brief illness, at the age of 65.
Born in Lakeburn, NB, he was the son of the late Albenie Mills (1998) and Alma (Melanson) Mills (2006).
Robert will be sadly missed by his wife, Fernande (Doucet) Mills and four sisters: Diana Richard (Clarence), Bernadette Cormier (Eddie) and Marie Daigle (Ronnie) all of Notre-Dame and Yvette LeBlanc (Richard) of Cocagne.
Three brothers: Laurie (Lucille) of Notre-Dame, Allain (Lisa) of Moncton and Terry de Calgary, AB. Special sister-in-law, Lucille Mills of Notre-Dame.
Several uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Robert moved from Notre-Dame to Petit-Rocher with his wife 2½ years ago to care for his father-in-law, Rhéal Doucet.
We will remember Robert walking with his little dog with the yellow coat.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by two brothers, Donald (1996), Vincent (2016) and two brothers in infancy, Mike and Chris.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday October 7, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford, from 7 to 9 p.m. and again in Notre-Dame on Monday October 10, 2016 at the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur Church Hall from 2 to 4 and 5:30 until time of Funeral Mass at 7 p.m.
Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mélanie Chiasson, the nurses, especially Judy, our precious little Linda for her enormous support and to all the Respiratory Therapy team.
