1935 – 2016

Bathurst – Eric Arseneau of Picot Ave. and formerly of Major Lane, Bathurst, passed away on Saturday October 15, 2016, at the age of 81, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Frances (Christie) Arseneau.

He was retired from Hatheway Ford and was well known in the Country and Western Music scene.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Phyllis (Roy) Arseneau and is survived by two sons: Roger (Susan) of Bathurst and Robert of Big River.  One granddaughter, Stacey (Jesse) and one great-granddaughter, Raya.

Three sisters: Betty Hall of Riverview, Angie MacIntosh of Calgary, AB, Regina Calnan of Bathurst.  Two brothers: Jimmy Arseneau (Anita) of Toronto, ON and Cletus Arseneau (Marie) of Bathurst.  Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Christina, Rita Doucet, Leona Arseneau, Evelyn Hachey; brothers, René, Leandre and Aurele.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 4 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Eric may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst.
