Sainte-Anne, Glou. Co., NB - Stafford Pitre of Sainte-Anne, Glou. Co., passed away on Saturday November 12, 2016, at the age of 100, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Jerome and Marguerite (Legacy) Pitre.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He is survived by his wife of 79 years, Léona (Noël) Pitre, and his ten children: Stanisclaus (Malvina), Evangelist (late Joanne), Agatha Doucet (Roger), Harold (Jeannette), Carson (Raymonde), Rose-Helen Jackson (late David) and Joan Legacy (Raymond) all of Sainte-Anne, Harvey (Helen), Levin (Tina) both of Ontario and Wanita Legacy (Eloi) of Middle River.

34 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Three daughters-in-law: Marie-Rose Pitre of Sainte-Anne, Gladys Pitre of Ontario and Claudine Pitre of Hamilton.

One son-in-law, Gerard Landry of Bathurst.

He was predeceased by three sons: Clinton, Rodrick, Kenneth; a daughter, Mariette Landry and several brothers and sisters.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon November 16, 2016, at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Stafford may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
