1952 - 2016
Dunlop, NB - David J. Thibodeau, husband of Shirley (Morrissey) Thibodeau, of Dunlop, passed away at home, in the presence of his family, on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the age of 64..
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Verna (Boucher) Thibodeau and the late Donat Thibodeau (1992).
Besides his mother and his spouse, he is survived by two sons: Peter of Winnipeg, MB and Jason (Marcelle DesRoches) of Dunlop.
Two daughters: Michelle Thibodeau (Brian Bruno) of Rothsay, NB and Teresa Thibodeau of Fredericton, NB.
Three beautiful and adored grandchildren: Allison, Ella and Grayson.
Five brothers: Robert (Teresa) of Winnipeg, MB, Jean-Marc (Debbie) of Milton, ON, Richard (Lisette) of Petit-Rocher, Danny of Miramichi and Michel (Angie) of Belleville, ON.
Four sisters: Mary Lee Howe (Earl) of Miramichi, Joan Wheeler of Dunlop, Linda Thibodeau (Roger Lanteigne) and Annette Thibodeau (Roland Haché) both of Bathurst. Many nieces and nephews.
A loving husband and father, David enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He took great pride in being a great provider for his family by planting big gardens, canning and cooking in bulk and there was always enough to share. David was also known for calling his mom and siblings most every day to check in and to tell us what his day was like. He enjoyed yard sales and was an avid fisherman. He was a friend to everyone he met. One of his pleasures in life was to tease and make people laugh and he did that well. If you heard hearty laughter when walking in a coffee shop, you can be sure David was there creating the stir.
A gentle giant with a tender heart, he was easily brought to tears at the thought of people or animals hurting. Animals were a big part of his life. They also loved him. He could make a pet out of just about anything.
His journeys here on earth much to short, for a man who had so much to give.
Rest in Peace dear David
