Saint-Laurent, NB – Irenée Comeau of Sainte-Laurent, passed away on Wednesday December 28, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 72.
Born in Nicholas Denys, he was the son of Rosa (Haché) Comeau and the late Lucien Comeau.
Irenée worked as a trucker most of his life, he was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Petit-Rocher.
Besides his mother of Beresford, he is survived by a daughter, Nancy Comeau (Bertrand Roy) of Laplante. Two grandchildren, Sonia and Ricky. The mother of his daughter, Gertrude (Sealy) Comeau.
Three brothers: Léonard Comeau (Marie Blanche) of Nicholas Denys, Fidèle Comeau of Petit-Rocher and Jeannot Comeau (Solange) of Free Grant.
Two sisters: Armande Comeau (Kevin Webster) of Bathurst and Julienne Duguay (Fernand) of Free Grant.
His special friend, Mona Boudreau and her children: Cindy Roy (Roger Frenette), Pascal (Kevin), Tania (Yoan), Daina (Jean Sébastien), Jason (Cinthia-Line) and their children.
His godchild, Joannie Comeau as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Clovis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, December 31 2016 from Église Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila, Robertville.
Donations in memory of Irenée may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.
