Bathurst - Rheal Bourgeois of Bernon Ave., Bathurst, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday April 22, 2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 66.
Born in Grand-Digue, N.B., he was the son of the late Armand and Rita (Babineau) Bourgeois.
Rheal worked at the Brunswick Mines for 40 years and he was a member of 3rd Degree Knights of Colombus, Council 1935.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Dorilla (Robichaud) Bourgeois.
Two children: Stéphane (Dominique Paquette) of L'Assomption, Que. and Éric de Bathurst.
Three granddaughters: Tiffany, Anaïs and Flavie.
Three sisters and five brothers: Rachel Gallant (Lucien), Raymond, Georges (Bernice), Claudette Casey (Norman), Marcel (Marie-Louise), all of Grand-Digue, N.B., Jean-Guy (Roselind), Michel of Shediac and Yvette Melanson (Ronald) of Dieppe. Several nieces and nephews.
Rheal was a loving and kind soul and he will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 29th, 2017, at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Rheal can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
