It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Aurele Hachey of St. Patrick St, Bathurst, which occurred peacefully surrounded by his family at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the age of 93.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alice (Doucet) Hachey.

He was a past employee of NB Power.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret (Aubie).

Four children: Wayne (Judy), Janice (Terry) Young, Marilyn (Alton) Biseau all of Bathurst and Robbie (Guylaine) of Beresford.

Nine grandchildren: Colleen, Jordan, Kathleen, Kris, Amy, Craig, Emily, Samantha and Melissa.

Seven great-grandchildren.

One sister, Phyllis Taylor of Ontario.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kelly; four brothers: Hector, Gerald, Edmund, Leon and three sisters: Corinne, Yvonne and Winnie.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, August 8, 2017 at 11 am from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Aurele may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
