It is with sadness that the family of Mrs. Gladys Gammon, wife of the late Ernest Gammon, of Main Street, Bathurst announce her passing on Thursday, February 1st, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 92.
Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Loretta (Vienneau) Stever.
She is survived by one son Reginald (Debbie) of Bathurst, two daughters Donna (Raymond) Legacy of South Tetagouche, Brenda (Francis) Pitre of Bathurst.
She was a proud grandmother to Jenny, Heather, Krista, Christopher and Jessica and great grandmother to Olivia.
She is also survived by sisters Celine, Connie, Vivian and Linda and a brother Robert.
Gladys was predeceased by her brothers Herbert, Albert (Junior)and Donald (Sonny); and sisters Vera, Isabel, Hazel, Audrey and Mona.
Gladys was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Branch #18, Royal Canadian Legion - Ladies Auxiliary, Bathurst and the Catholic Women's League of Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Elhatton's Funeral Home on Sunday February 4th, 2018.
Funeral service will be celebrated at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, on Monday February 5th, 2018 at 11 am.
For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to a charity of their choice.
The family wishes to thank the personnel of the Emergency Department, Surgical Suite, Intensive Care Unit and 3rd West for the excellent care and compassion received.
