Bathurst – Mrs. Emilia Duguay, 88, wife of the late Wilfred Duguay, of Union St. and formerly of Rough Waters Dr., passed away Saturday July 7, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Yvonne (Chamberlain) Daigle.
She was a retired chambermaid at the former Keddy’s Hotel.
She is survived by seven children: Rosaline Doucet (John Lavigne) of Middle River, Marcel Duguay (Jeannette) of Chamberlain Settlement, Yvonne Boucher (late Jean) of Rough Waters, Donald Duguay (Jocelyne) of Big River, Robert Duguay (Pierrette Denis) of Marieville, QC., Nancy Duguay (Robert Kryszko) of Pabineau First Nation and Mona Grant (Jean Pierre) of Bathurst.
16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Five sisters: Dorothy Imough (Harold) of Nicholas Denys, Angella Landry (Valmond) of Bathurst, Germaine Godin of Rough Waters, Yolande Doucet and Jeannette Doucet both of Moncton. Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Denise.
Visitation will be held at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst, on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 13, 2018 at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Emilia may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or a favorite charity.
