Janeville – The death of Truman Ellis of Janeville, occurred on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 77.
Born in Canobie, he was the son of the late Ralph and Vera (Peters) Ellis.
Truman worked as a fisherman for most of his life.
He is survived by his partner, Lillian Russell.
One son, Mark Ellis (Darlene) of Charlottetown, PEI.
Three grandchildren: Hannah, Rebecca and Tiffany.
Two sisters: Ivy Ellis and Pansy Ellis of both of Canobie.
Two brothers: Jimmy Ellis (Lillian) of Stonehaven and George Ellis (Opal) of Janeville.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Betty Anne (Roy) Ellis, four sisters: Lucy McGaugh, Georgina Smith, Charlotte Babineau, Ina O’Neil, a brother Ivan and an infant brother.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst. Funeral service will be held on Friday January 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. from Central United Church, Clifton. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In memory of Truman donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
