It is with great sadness the family of Maurice Hachey announces his passing, with his loving family at his side on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes at the age of 86. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Peter and Florida (Chiasson) Hachey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Regina (Caissie-Larsen) Hachey, his children he greatly cherished: Jean Maurice Hachey and Rachelle Thériault (Blaine Moses), also his grandson whom he adored, Jason Marc Thériault. He also leaves to morn, his brothers: Wilfred Hachey, Martin (Rochelle) Hachey and Micheal Hachey. His sisters: Therese Campeau and Yvette (Peter) Fizli, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Edmond, Armand and Raymond, his sisters: Jeanne-Mance, Annette and Aline. Maurice was employed at the former Consolidated Bathurst papermill until his retirement in 1992. In the light of the present circumstances, A funeral service will be held later. In memory of Maurice, donations maybe made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home in Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com)
