Beresford - Husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa to be, Eldon Duguay’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Eldon passed on February 22, 2021 at the age 69 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He would want us to focus on the happiness in our lives.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Eldon. He loved family gatherings, spending time in his back-yard garage with his friends. He loved the great outdoors.
Eldon was a kind and generous man and was a volunteer fire fighter for 25 years with the Beresford Fire department.
His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met.
Eldon was born in Beresford, son of the late Edmund and Stella (Doucet) Duguay.
He is survived by his wife, Noella (Boulay) Duguay, three daughters: Sylvie Roy (Robert) of Cocagne, Nathalie Duguay (Jason) of Nigadoo and Melissa Duguay of Dieppe.
Five grandchildren: Michel, Jonathan, Jessica, Cynthia and Sebastien. One great-granddaughter, Sadie Grace who will be born in June 2021.
Eldon is also survived by three sisters: Joan Duguay-Maltby (Peter) and Carol Ann Roy (Manny) both of Beresford and Norma Gould (John) of Peterborough, ON.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a public visitation at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), 270 rue Centre, Beresford on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Physical distancing measures will be in place. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 1st, 2021 from Holy Name of Jesus Church in Beresford by invitation only.
In memory of Eldon, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
