Sister Lucienne Savoie, rhsj, passed away on Tuesday May 25th, 2021 at the infirmary of the Religieuse Hospitalières de Saint-Joseph at Résidence Le Royal in Bathurst at the age of 92, in her 74th year of religious community life.

Born in Petite-Lamèque, she was the daughter of the late Patrice and Pétronille (Duguay) Savoie.

Besides her congregational family, she is survived by her sister, Annette of USA and two sisters-in-law: Victorine Benoît and Léonie Benoît.

She was predeceased by four brothers and eight sisters.

Sister Lucienne entered the order of the Religieuses Hospitalières de St-Joseph in Bathurst in 1947. She studied fine arts. She worked in houses, foyers and at the RHSJ hospitals in Bathurst, Tracadie and St-Basile.

Visitation will take place at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Thursday May 27th, 2021 from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 2 p.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral.
