Bathurst – Mrs. Veronica Boucher, wife of the late Lawrence Boucher, passed away at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes on Thursday May 27th, 2021, at the age of 93.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Léontine (Chiasson) Thibodeau.
Veronica was a retired Federal Government Employee and member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League.
She is survived by two daughters: Carol Anne Doucet (Denis) of Dieppe and Donna-Lynn LeBlanc (Bruno Godin) of Beresford.
Three grandchildren: Christine, Karine, Jeremy and one great-grandson, Léo.
One brother, Wilfred Thibodeau of Bathurst.
Several nieces, nephews and friends who loved her happy-go-lucky attitude and contagious smile.
Besides her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by her first husband, Ronald LeBlanc; sisters: Marjorie, Irène (in infancy), Irène, Sr. Marie Veronica and brothers: Walter and Claude.
The family would like to thank all her caregivers, especially Monique and Debbie who loved her like a mother.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 3, 2021, at 4 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst, with covid protocols in place.
