Bathurst – Eldège Plourde, 88, formerly of Balsam Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday September 23rd, 2021, at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst.
Born in Saint-Sauveur, he was the son of the late Zoël and Dorina (Larocque) Plourde.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Elvina (Guignard) Plourde and his daughter Rubis Plourde.
He is survived by two children, Jeannette Frenette (René) and Pierre Plourde (Louise Ouellette) both of Bathurst.
Four grandchildren: Patrick, Rachelle, Kent and Keith.
Two sisters: Laurenda Gionet (late Victor) and Francienne Lanteigne (late Vincent) both of St-Catherines, ON.
One brother, Olivier (Roseline) of Saint-Sauveur.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, daughter and parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Elphège and a sister, Arthemise.
Eldège was such a positive influence on everyone he met, always ready to lend a hand but his priority was certainly his family.
There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. Donations in memory of Eldège may be made to the foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home. (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
