Canobie – The death of Pansy Ellis of Canobie, occurred suddenly on Wednesday November 3, 2021 at her residence, at the age of 71.
Born in Canobie, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Vera (Peters) Ellis.
Pansy worked as a School Bus Driver, and in farming and fishing for most of her life. She was a member of Central United Church and was also a choir member.
She is survived by a special friend and partner John Morrison.
One sister: Ivy Ellis of Canobie.
Two brothers: Jimmy Ellis (Lillian) of Stonehaven and George Ellis (Opal) of Janeville.
Several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Juanita (Evan) Scott and their children, Samantha, Matthew, Jonathan and Joshua.
She was pre-deceased by four sisters: Lucy McGaugh, Georgina Smith, Charlotte Babineau, Ina O’Neil, and brothers: Ivan, Truman and an infant brother.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Elhatton's Funeral Home, (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 2 p.m. from Central United Church, Clifton. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Proof of double vaccination, a government issued ID and masks are required. Donations in memory of Pansy may be made to the Central United Church a charity of the donor’s choice. Masks are mandatory and proof of double vaccination is required to attend the visitations and funeral.
