It is with heavy hearts, that we, the family, mourn the passing of John Alfred Rabasse, husband of Marie Louise Boudreau, of Bridge St., in Bathurst, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Monday January 17th, 2022 at the age of 84.
Born in Saint-Georges-de-Malbaie, QC, he was the son of the late John Rabasse and the late Doris (Hotton) Rabasse.
Besides his wife, John is survived by his sons: Jason (Susan) Rabasse of Alberta and Alex Rabasse (Andrew) of British Colombia; his grandchildren: Maurissa, Jeffrey and 7 great grandchildren: Isaac, Alice, Lillian, Damien, Danielle, Nicole and Christina.
He also leaves his stepchildren: André (Kristy), Robert (Sheila), Marie May (Daniel), Hector (Lise), Mark (Kareena), Lisa; and his step grandchildren: Emily Ann, Justin, Rebecca, James, Sonia, Chantal, Marie-France, and Janie; his step great-grandchildren: Malik and Nathan, as well as his nephew Anthony Vibert, his niece Kayla Belding and many friends.
John was employed as a linesman with NB power, where he worked in all kinds of weather providing power to Bathurst and the Downshore area, helping families at their time of need. John also volunteered his time as a Scout leader for many years.
He is now resting in peace with his parents, his first wife, Sheila Marks and his sister, Joan Howell.
We lost a great man who will be truly missed. Our love for you will always be in our hearts.
The funeral service will be held on July 29th at 11:00 am from Elhatton Funeral Home chapel, Bathurst.
