It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Lorraine Arseneau of James Street, Bathurst on August 19, 2022, at the Chaleur regional hospital at the age of 84.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of late Stanislas and Victoria (Christie) Blanchard.
Lorraine leaves behind her loving husband Albert Arseneau of 65 years of marriage as well as six children; Gary (Linda), Jeannette (Steve) Haché, Danny (Karine) Paul, Betty Ann (Alan) Gray and Richard.
She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Michel, Stephane, Melanie, Stephanie, Justin, Albert, Bianca, Ashley, Robert, and Kyle as well as six great grandchildren.
Two brothers: Gérald (Yvonne) Blanchard and Stan, Jr Blanchard both of Bathurst and two sisters: Priscilla (Late Lionel) Frenette of Beresford and Claudette (Wayne) Loupelle of Chestermere AB.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son Gerald and brothers: Wilfred, Kenneth, John, Harvey, Arnold, Lionel, Ernest and sisters: Marguerite Cameron and an infant sister Priscilla.
Lorraine worked at the foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes till her retirement.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and all those who took excellent care of Lorraine with kindness and dignity.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on August 26 at 2 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Lorraine can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a favourite charity of the donor’s choice.
