It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Ernest J. Boucher on Saturday, August 20th at the age of 79 years old.
Born and raised in East Bathurst, New Brunswick, he worked, lived, and raised his family in New Richmond, Quebec.
He is survived by his loving wife Delphine (Pitre) Boucher; his children Chesley (Barbara), Debbie (Todd), Bonnie (Tracy), Lori and Cynthia (Rick); grandchildren Michelle, Laura, Brendon, Alex, Taylor, Meagan, Soleil, Alison, and Samantha; several great grandchildren; and his siblings Verna, Connie, Harvey, Duncan, and Harper.
Ernest also had meaningful relationships with many nephews and nieces.
He is pre-deceased by his parents Raymond and Mable (Imhoff) Boucher, and his siblings Eugene, Blair, Ruth, Muriel, and Imelda.
He was a wonderful friend to many and the greatest husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother, and son.
He will be remembered as a generous and kind man who was an amazing story- teller and took great joy getting to know and help others.
A very special thank you to the many doctors, ICU and 4th floor palliative care nurses at the Centre Hospitaler Baie des Chaleurs in Maria, Quebec. Their outstanding care provided great comfort.
Arrangements are entrusted to Elhatton’s Funeral Home. In lieu of a church service, a gathering at the Saint Mary’s cemetery in East Bathurst will take place on Monday, August 29th at 2:00 pm.
