It is with regret, that we, the family announce the passing of Mrs. Doris E. Roy, wife of Mr. Armand E. Roy of Bathurst, which occurred after a brief illness on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023, at the Chaleur regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 94.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Hudson and Caroline (Morrison) Dobson.

Doris is survived by the love of her life Armand E. Roy, her sons: David (Ann), Donald (Hyunmi), as well as nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her brothers: Hubert, Ernest, Harold, Byron and many nieces and nephews.

Doris was a life member of the Holy Family CWL, a founding member of the Holy Family Church “Ladies of the Altar”; also, a lieutenant for the West Bathurst Girl Guides movement for ten years. She was well loved and will be missed greatly. The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff of the Chaleur regional Hospital for their wonderful care.

As per her wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home and no funeral service. A burial gathering will take place later in the Spring.
