It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mrs. Catherine Couture of Bathurst, which occurred Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes following a lengthy illness. She was 88.

The wife of the late Paul Couture, she is survived by a sister, Margaret Campbell of Surrey, B.C.; five sons, Michel (Denise), James (Marlene), Marc (Sonia), Daniel (Carolyn), and Joey (Sunny); and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by her parents, Frank and Ursula Blanchard; as well as two sons, Jean-Paul (Sandra) and Allain.

Catherine loved playing bingo, and knit the best slippers in the world. She also loved playing cards.

Being the mother of seven sons, she was always busy, but never too busy to show them how much she loved them.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home in Bathurst.
