Bathurst – Mrs. Antoinette “Toni” Roy, wife of the late Gérard Roy, formerly of St. Andrew St., Bathurst, passed away Sunday August 27, 2023 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 94.

Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Cléophas and Ida (Boudreau) Boudreau.

She is survived by one daughter, Rose-Marie "Lily" Roy of Dieppe.

Three granddaughters: Lynne, Catherine and Natalie; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

One sister, Arnolda “Arnie” White of Bathurst.

Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by brothers: George, Freddy and Ronald and sisters: Rose-Marie and Anita.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ault, Dr. J.P. Arseneau, the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital and the staff of Résidence Vienneau for the compassionate care given to Antoinette.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 6th, 2023 at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Antoinette may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
