Sainte-Anne, Glou. Co. – It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Ronald Pitre, of Sainte-Anne, Glou. Co., spouse to Suzanne Parent, passed away on Tuesday September 26, 2023, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 77

Born in Petit-Rocher, he was the son of the late Edmond and Yvonne (Lagacy) Pitre.

Besides his spouse, he is survived by two children: Michael Pitre (Kathy Ells) of Shediac and Lisa Pitre MacMillan (James) of Riverview.

Four grandchildren: Grace, Crew, Lexi and Sadie.

Three stepchildren: Jamie Hickey of Dieppe, Joey Hickey (Kathlin) of Grand-Sault and Ricky Pelletier of Dalhousie.

Three step-grandchildren.

His brothers and sisters: Anita Doucet (Léo), Patricia Pitre Morrison (Yvon Comeau), Noëlla Pitre and Yvette Pitre (Daniel Roy) all of Petit-Rocher, Clétus Pitre (Diane Boudreau) of South Tetagouche and Lorraine Pitre of Robertville.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife, Lise Robichaud, sisters: Anne Marie, Suzanne and Jocelyne.

Ronald “Ronnie” was so many wonderful things… A loving father and grandfather. He was an outdoors man who loved gardening, hunting and fishing most of all. He had a creative way with woodworking just like his father. Anyone who knew Ronnie knew him as the best joke telling, he loved to make people laugh.

The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for their care and compassion during Ronald’s illness.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home or Funeral Service. Donations in memory of Ronald, can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care to Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritag.com), Beresford.
