It’s with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Mr. Romeo Joseph Poirier, husband of Gail Poirier, of Mount Mellick, PEI, peacefully passed away on October 4, 2023, at the Queen Elizabith Hospital Charlottetown, at the age 79 years.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Romeo Sr. and Julienne Poirier.

Loving father of Richard (Rovena Yulia), Jean-Paul (Nicole), Danny (Samia Fadel), Marcel (Kathleen Caya), Arlene Curley (Don Brehault), Steven Curley (Angela). He was a very proud "grandpa" to his many grandchildren.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings; Yvonne, Jaddus, Georgette, Jeanette, Gilbert, Howard, and Maurice.

He was pre-deceased by his siblings Emile, Ralph, Marie, and Paul.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 13, 2023 at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Romeo may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
