It is with great sadness that we wish to inform you of the death of our mother “maman”, Jeannine Morel-Pouliot, on October 26, 2023, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, N.B.

Born March 7, 1938 in Evain, QC, Jeannine was the daughter of the late Annette Deshaies and late Paul Morel.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband Hubert as well as her children: Jasmine (Mark Hodgson) from Millstone, New Jersey; Joëlle from Vevey, Switzerland, and Stephan (Sonita) from Fredericton NB.

Her two grandchildren whom she adored: Sacha (Christina), and Lola-Jade. Two great-grandchildren: Ava-Rose and Dominic. Her brother Jean-Paul Morel (Ruth) from Shédiac as well as his goddaughter, Cyntia Morel from Singapore.

Jeannine was predeceased by her daughter Michelle “Michou”, brothers: Albert, and Rhéal.

Mom was an accomplished artist. She excelled at knitting, sewing, painting, cooking, baking, gardening, and flower arranging. Those were her passions, as was her strength of devotion she showed to everything and everyone she loved. No matter what she took on, it was always done to perfection.

People that were fortunate to know her recognized her for her humbleness, soft speaking and love for her family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1h00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1st at the Elhatton Funeral Chapel, from where a celebration of life will take place at 2h00 p.m. In Memory of Jeannine, donations maybe made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
