It is with great sadness that we, the family, wish to announce the passing of Mrs. Ivy Sealy, wife of the late H. Leigh Sealy, of Bathurst, which occurred on Thursday November 2, 2023, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 89.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Claude Buttimer and the late Alma (Ronalds) Buttimer.

She is survived by a daughter, Leeanna Morrison (Glenn) of Janeville. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Dr. Chelsey Ellis (Serge) and Chad Ellis (Karen); Dr. Sasha Sealy (Jim), Scott Sealy (Stephanie), her great grandchildren: Ivan, Chloé, Alex, Kinsey, Carly, Grayson, Isla, Odin, Paxton and Lennox, as well her sister Shirley Jagoe (late Orin) and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her sons: Peter and Dawson Sealy, sister, Ella and brother Elmer.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Chapel, on Friday November 10th from 1:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following the service. In memory of Ivy, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
