Bathurst – It is with great sadness, that we the family, announce the death of Guylaine Boucher, wife to Martin Boucher, of Bathurst, which occurred on Friday November 24, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 52.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents: Aldéo and Bernadette (Hébert) Duguay of Bathurst and her in-laws: Lionel and Germaine (Ferron) Boucher of Allardville.
Two brothers: Reno Duguay (Nadia Roy) of Petit- Rocher and Alain (Isabelle Lagacé) of North Tetagouche.
Three sisters-in-law: Huguette Doucet (Paul) of Allardville, Anne Boucher (Jean-Marc Haché) of Duguayville and Suzanne Cormier (Léo) of Robertville.
Her godfather, Laurier Duguay and godmother, Maria Hébert. Also, by several nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved. She was the godmother to Danik Duguay, Jolaine Duguay, Marc-André Doucet, Christian Chamberlain and Marilyne Doucet, whom she adored like her own children.
Guylaine was employed with the Federal Government in Bathurst, until her retirement. She was a generous person, gentle and loved spending time with her family and many longtime friends whom she loved.
The family would like to sincerely thank her friends and the general public, for the support given to her while at the Cardiology Institute in Montréal and the Toronto General Hospital.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday December 1, 2023, from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst.
