Bathurst – Mrs. Judy Rector, wife of the late Glenn Rector, of Bathurst, passed away Monday January 8, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 83.

Born in Riversdale, NS, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Helen (Landsburg) Langille.

Judy is survived by a daughter Glenda Smith (Carl), son David Rector (Pam Chiasson).

Grandchildren: Devin (Danika Despres), Cody (Gillian Whalen) and Jody (Jason Carrol); great-grandchildren Lane, Wren and Barrett.

One sister, Carol Whidden of Truro, NS.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by a sister, Joan.

“It was definitely a great day this past summer when this picture was taken, You never shyed away from the sun! You pushed yourself hard to make Christmas dinner at the camp just a few weeks ago and it was more for us than yourself. Your independence, stubbornness, toughness, really showed these last few years to me and I was glad to help whenever I could.

I have no idea on how many people you have met/ cooked for over the years but you and grampy started alot of people’s mornings over the years with a coffee and breakfast, I'm sure there are still people looking for a lemon meringue pie out there from you... bye Grammy rest easy” Devin.

There will be no visitations at the funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in the summer.
