Bathurst - It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Mrs. Bette (Graham) Wiseman, beloved wife of the late Sprague Wiseman, of Bathurst, passed away peacefully on Friday at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 88.
Born in Bathurst, she was the eldest daughter of the late Gordon and Imogene (Colpitts) Graham.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was pre-deceased by a son at birth, a daughter, Joy; grandson Trevor; her brothers: Donald, Hughie and a sister Jeannie.
She is survived by her children: Graham (Nancy), Donna (Donald), Holly (Randy), Joey (Shelley) and Melony (Colin).
She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Mark (Melanie), Penny (Eric), Matthew (Darcie), Cory (Danielle), Owen (Joline), Amy Jo (Nicole), Neil (Emma), Vanessa, Jordan and 10 great-grandchildren: Logan, Shayna, Samuel, Bryce, Keira, Jordan, Olivia, Jorja, Breigha and Amelia.
Sister-in-law, Irma Graham, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
The family would like to thank the Extra Mural Program, her caregivers, especially Natalie Duguay, the Doctors & Nurses at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, as well as Audrey Ronalds & the many friends who visited her at home and during her stay at the Hospital.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home as per her wishes. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St.
