It is with sadness that we announce Freda Gallant, wife of the late Wilfred Gallant, of Bathurst passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the age of 90.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Vincent F. and Lauza (Chiasson) Lavigne.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Freda is survived by four sons: Cleo Gallant (Diane) of Robertville, Ronald Gallant (Alice), Albert Gallant (Susan) and Paul Gallant (Sandra) all of Bathurst.

Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers Nelson Lavigne and Aldorea LeBreton and a sister Theresa Pitre.

As per her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Freda may be made to a favorite charity.
