It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Raymonde (Arseneault) Butler, wife of the late Roland Butler, which occurred in Peterborough, Ontario, surrounded by family, on Tuesday June 18, 2024, at the age of 81.

Born in Tracadie, she was the daughter of the late Pierre Arsenault and Geneviève Mallet.

She leaves to mourn her two sons: Peter (Mylène Gionet) of Paquetville and Danny of Ontario; two daughters: Joyce (Doug Arscott) and Lisa (Marc Godin) both of Ontario.

Eight grandchildren whom she adored: Mathieu (Colleen), Mariska (Mathieu), Emilie (Justin), Gabriel (Laura), Katia (Mathieu), Daan (Shayna), Alexandra (Tom) and Renaud.

Four great grandchildren: Justin, William, Julie and Liam.

Three sisters: Irene (late Alphonse) and Edna (Eddie) both of Québec and Annette of Moncton; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She joins her two sisters: Alvina and Lorraine and five brothers: Edgar, Omer, Emile, Alvida and Clarence.

Devoted to her family, she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be missed by many.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their exceptional service and compassion that they showed to Raymonde in her last days.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, 187 St. George St. Bathurst, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, at 9 a.m. until departure for the funeral service which will be held at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst.
