It is with sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Mary Lanteigne, wife of Normand Godbout of Beresford, which occurred on Sunday September 15th, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, at the age of 72. Born in Dalhousie, NB, she was the daughter of Ethel (Furlong) Lanteigne and the late Hector Lanteigne. Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by her children: John Guitard (Abbi) of Nanaimo, BC and Hector Guitard (Tammy) of Morrell Siding, NB; her stepchildren Roger Godbout and Louise Godbout, both of Oka, QC; her grand children: Atira, Hazen, Levi and Thea Rose; her step grandchildren: Micheal and Matthew.

She also leaves her brothers and sisters: Thomas Lanteigne (Patty-Ann) of Price Settlement, NB, Elaine Lanteigne (late Howard "Howie" Dempsey) of Stonehaven, NB, Carl Lanteigne (Tammy) of New Mills, NB, Myrtle Coakly (Andrew) of Fort McMurray, AB, and Mary Katherine Schildan (Gordon) of Clackamas Oregon, USA and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting and funeral. A celebration of her life will be held with her family later. In Memory of Mary, donations to the New Brunswick Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home in Beresford. www.mfheritage.com
